In addition to our regular Groove Mama™ classes, Groove and Grow hosts special pop-up sessions that take our dancing somewhere new. This time, we're heading to the sand! Each pop-up is a lovingly curated experience, where the movement is thoughtfully adapted for postpartum bodies and babywearing, so you can dance with your baby in the fresh air.

About the event

Groove Mamas Beach Boogie is a joyful pop-up dance class created especially for mums and their babies. Kick off your shoes and dance barefoot in the sand at Coogee and Bondi, with us set up at the north end of each beach. Whether your baby is snuggled in a carrier, held in your arms, or happily nearby, this is a chance to move, laugh and soak up the sunshine together.

It's a fun, feel-good 30 minutes of dancing, with easy-to-follow choreography that anyone can pick up. Afterwards, there's no rush to leave. Stay on for a swim, enjoy the beach, and get to know other mums in your community.

Expect:

  • 30 minutes of fun, uplifting dancing with your toes in the sand

  • Easy-to-follow choreography, no experience needed

  • Gentle movement adapted for postpartum bodies and babywearing

  • Time afterwards for a swim and a chat with other mums

  • A warm, welcoming space to connect, move and feel good, with your baby by your side

This class is suitable for all levels, with no dance experience necessary. Pregnant mamas are also very welcome.
